Terms of use

cab is a free service of the NGO Debate Federation of Ukraine (ВМГО «Федерація Дебатів України») for running debate clubs and their sessions. By using it you agree to these terms. How we handle personal data is in the Policy.

Accounts and personal links

Sign in with your own account and keep it to yourself. A personal guest link is your access to one session: anyone holding it acts as you, so share it with no one. You can move a guest's results into your own account once you sign in.

Club heads

A club head runs the club page, decides on join requests and runs the sessions: who registers, who sits where, motions and ballots. A club head adds people only with their agreement and treats what members write in their requests as confidential.

Fair use

Use cab for debating. Do not impersonate others, enter false results, harass anyone in names, motions or messages, or try to break, overload or get around the service's access rules. We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these terms, and we say why when we do.

Results

Ballots and results are the record of a debate. Once a session is finished they stay, including in standings, so that the club's history is complete. Mistakes are corrected by the club head.

The Federation publishes the news, the calendar and the club directory on uadebate.com. Clubs answer for the information they ask us to publish about them. [terms for reusing the site's texts and photos]

Beta

cab is in beta testing. It is offered as it is, may change, and may be unavailable at times. We keep the data safe and backed up, but we cannot promise the service is free of errors. To the extent the law allows, the Federation is not liable for indirect losses from using cab.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; we change the date above and say so on this page before a change applies. These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine.
